<p>Firefly Eco-Friendly, Biodegradable CLEAN Citronella Lamp Oil (clean-128-c) is a DIRECT REPLACEMENT for paraffin lamp oil &amp; kerosene -&nbsp;&nbsp;smokeless, virtually odorless, provides a great flame and longer lasting.</p><p>CLEAN Lamp Oil is for indoor and outdoor use. No colorants &amp; commercial-style bottles with childproof caps.</p><p>We electronically seal our bottles to prevent leakage and has been FedEx approved.</p><p><strong>SMALL WICK PERFORMANCE</strong></p><p>CLEAN Lamp Oil is Smokeless when used in vessels that utilize a small (1/4”) or flat wick (1”) eg - oil candles, lamps, hurricane lanterns, DIY mason jars, etc.</p><p><strong>LARGE WICK (3/8″+) PERFORMANCE (Tiki Torches, Wine Bottles, Kerosene Heaters)</strong></p><p>The larger the wick, the more potential for smoke. Smoke or no smoke depends on the height of the exposed wick above the wick holder. &nbsp;Note: windy environments will break the flame and produce puffs of smoke.</p><p><strong>SETTING THE WICK</strong></p><p>Set the wick ever so slightly above the wick holder, just a nub. The flame will reach its maximum height within a couple of minutes. Experiment. &nbsp;You will be surprised how little wick exposure is required for a beautiful flame. &nbsp;This will conserve fuel and reduce smoke in larger wicks.</p><p><strong>TROUBLESHOOTING</strong></p><p>Two variables that affect results are contaminated wicks (mixing fuels) &amp; wicks that are over-exposed.</p><p>Always use a clean vessel and high-quality wicks.</p><p><strong>NOTE:</strong> NEVER MIX this fuel with another fuel or use a contaminated wick, as you will change the burning characteristics.</p>

• NOT FOR USE IN FIRE PITS OR VESSELS REQUIRING AN ETHANOL-BASED FUEL. Alternative, longer burning fuel than paraffin lamp oil or kerosene - inhouse testing showed a significantly longer burn time. We will send you a tips email detailing best-use practices. Please use as directed and you will have a great experience.
• CLEAN BURNING, ODORLESS BASE FUEL, SMOKELESS & CLEAR - Be sure to use a NEW wick and keep the height as low as possible, about 1/16” above the wick holder. Maximum flame will be achieved in about 2 minutes. Also NEVER MIX our fuel with another fuel. Be sure to empty the vessel before adding Firefly CLEAN Lamp Oil. It doesn’t have to be dishwasher clean. You can get even the purist fuel to smoke if the wick is too high or has been contaminated.
• USE RECOMMENDATIONS for SMOKELESS BURN: For use in liquid oil candles, oil lamps, DIY mason jars, hurricane lanterns that use a small wick. Safe for Indoor & outdoor use. Approved for use with Firefly Colored Lamp Oil Dye
• PRECAUTIONS: Not for use in table-top fireplaces, effusion lamps or catalytic lamps that require gel fuel or alcohol-based fuels. Firefly CLEAN Lamp Oil can be used in vessels that use a wick larger than 1/4"; however, it will tend to smoke. We recommend setting the wick ever so slightly above the wick holder, just a nub. This will reduce smoke and conserve fuel. Note: Windy environments will break the flame and produce puffs of smoke because the fuel is not completely burning.
• The Citronella Oil we add to the fuel provides a mild scent and does its job. The Essential Citronella Oil is pure and not synthetic.
